Fennel & Fold is a studio florist on Bore Street, opened in 2018. There are three of us and we arrange everything by hand, on the bench, on the day.

We buy seasonally and as locally as the season allows, which means we will happily tell you when something you have seen online is three months away or has been flown halfway round the world to get here. There is nearly always a better British stem doing the same job.

Most of our work is weddings and funerals, which are the two ends of the same week. We take a small number of each so nobody is being fitted in around somebody else.

Frequently asked questions

Can I choose exactly which flowers go in?

For weddings and events, yes, in detail. For everything else we would rather you told us the person, the room or the occasion and let us pick what is actually good that morning. It is nearly always better, and usually cheaper.

How far ahead should I book a wedding?

Most people come to us nine to twelve months out, but we have done beautiful work in six weeks. Ring us whatever the timescale and we will tell you honestly whether we can do it justice.

Can you do funeral flowers at short notice?

Almost always, and it is the one thing we will rearrange our day for. Ring rather than email. We can speak to the funeral director directly so it is one less call for you.

Do you deliver?

Ourselves, anywhere within about ten miles of Lichfield, so nothing is left on a doorstep in the rain by a courier. Order before eleven and we will usually manage the same day.

Are the flowers British?

As much as the season allows, and honestly for the rest. British growers cannot supply everything all year, and we would rather tell you that than pretend otherwise.
